Global Gypsies’ demonstrations are designed to encourage novice and newbie caravanners to ‘learn to tow before you go’, and will focus on one of the most commonly expressed concerns – reversing. They will be run by Global Gypsies’ award-winning trainers and tour operators.
The 20-minute towing demonstrations will take place just outside the Silver Jubilee Pavilion.
Commentary will be provided by two professional towing trainers as they execute a foolproof and ‘divorce-proof’ parking manoeuvre in which a driver and a ‘guider’ use only hand signals to reverse a 20ft caravan into a tight parking spot. Admission is free, tiered seating will be provided and there will be time for questions after the demonstration.
Site 106 at 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm daily.
Join the team at Eureka 4WD Training as they discuss and demonstrate the basic yet essential information you need to know before you head off bitumen.
Demonstrations will cover a range of topics including what to check on your vehicle pre-departure, using jacks, recovery equipment, tyre pressures and repairs, tyre treads, 4wd features available in vehicles, convey procedures and UHF etiquette, and using winches.
Perfect for the fourby beginner or those who need to brush up on their knowledge.
