Global Gypsies’ demonstrations are designed to encourage novice and newbie caravanners to ‘learn to tow before you go’, and will focus on one of the most commonly expressed concerns – reversing.
The 20 minute demonstrations will be run by Global Gypsies’ award-winning trainers and tour operators and will take place just outside the Silver Jubilee Pavilion.
Commentary will be provided by two professional towing trainers as they execute a foolproof and ‘divorce-proof’ parking manoeuvre in which a driver and a ‘guider’ use only hand signals to reverse a 20-foot caravan into a tight parking spot.
Seating will be provided and there will be time for questions after the demonstration.
Have you ever wondered how to use all that recovery equipment you have purchased, safely and in a proper manner? Or maybe you have your eyes on a particular piece of recovery gear, but you are not sure if it is correct for your vehicle?
At this year’s show Eureka 4WD Training will have lots of recovery gear at it’s stand, including high-lift jacks, exhaust jacks, winches and recovery boards, and they will be more than happy to demonstrate the attatchment and safe use of it. The company will also have a few products relating to tyre deflation and inflation, and will be available to chat about driving through sand when towing your camper trailer or caravan.
Come and see them at Site 422 and let them know what recovery gear you want demonstrated. The demonstrations will run daily from 10:30am – 3:30pm. This year they will also be retrieving a bogged 4WD vehicle with a camper van attached from the sand using a snatch strap. There will be two demonstrations daily at 11:30am and 2:30pm.
